Each reference is linked to the mutation table via a unique ID. The reference contains either the publications description (using the PubMed report) and the PubMed accession number (direct links to PubMed on the Internet UMD databases).
For some LSDBs, the description of the number of individuals used for mutation screening with phenotypic information is available. These data are used for mutations frequency calculation.
